What was the highlight of VIK Coral Beach Lanzarote

Very Good

A very nice place at a reasonable price. The villas are quite outdated but very spacious with good size living room, bedrooms and a large bathroom. Breakfast was good although very repetitive - but I'm not complaining as we had churros every morning :). People arround where nice. No working air conditioning (as we already knew from description, so no surprise) but not really needed at the begining of June. The pool was very good also. Also there is an promenade just between the villas and the lava rocks sea side very nice to walk and watch the waves. We had a good time at VIK Coral Beach. Thank you.

Really enjoyed my stay at Coral Beach you could do with a car as it’s a bit out of the way there isn’t any bar or music

Nice little villas good patio. Good pool could do with a little background music or something

The beds are not comfy could also do with a grill as you are not allowed disposable bbqs health and safety I guessand the bathrooms do sometimes smell

Amazing location with stunning sunset view every night, big variety of gluten-free breakfast, incredibly friendly staff, I felt very well taken care of. This place is real special.

Could use some renovation & deep-cleaning.

Very Good

Really quiet place, also due to the low season, very few guests and more than comfortable villas, clean and comfortable. warm welcome from the staff, open to suggestions and gave good advices to trasvel across the island.

the quality of the food is below expectations, especially for dinner. breakfast buffet is ok, good in quantity but not that good in terms of variety. staff in the restaurant not as nice as the reception.

The location of the hotel is really good, it's right on the seafront. Hotel has a nice looked after territory. Area is very quiet, which is great for sleeping, as there are no noises at all at night. Parking is free and there always were a lot of places available. Staff at the reception and in the restaurant is very friendly. Breakfast was good. There is a restaurant in the hotel opened for dinner plus there are few bars&restaurants in about 10 minutes walk away. It's brilliant that the hotel accepts dogs!

The villas could do with a little tlc. Cleaning schedule is the same for everybody and it doesn't matter when you checked in. We have found it a bit strange that our place was cleaned in the early morning the next day after arrival (we didn't check in till the evening before), however our towels were only changed once on the evening before departure. It might have worked if we'd stay for a week or more, but it didn't work for us as we only stayed 4 nights. Also, it's a real shame that the beach bar is closed, what a great place it would be to spend the evenings...

Great location, heated pool, nice villas but very poor food!

The location was stunning, we like to get away from the big resorts and towns, so it was great for us. We could get up and do some beautiful runs along the coast with the waves crashing against the shore, just stunning! The villas were fine for us as a family of 4. Two decent bedrooms and nice and quiet. Not very well stocked so don’t expect to self cater! The pool was a treat, as it was heated which is a treat around here! It wasn’t warm, but it was heated so the kids could stay in for an hour without getting freezing!

The worst thing about the hotel is the food. The food was boring and really not very nice, but worse was that the restaurant feels really unhygienic (and we’ve travelled all over the world, so we’re not fussy people!). My husband and son both got sick during our stay (we were only there for 4 nights!), of course this may not have been the restaurant, but we’re pretty sure it was as we didn’t eat anywhere else! We are not the kind of people who need to be ‘entertained’ so the constant badgering to get involved in games / karaoke was really annoying! The guy was pleasant enough, and he’s obviously paid to get people involved, but we really just wanted to be left alone.

the food selection wasn't great.

the food selection wasn't great. there was no music round the pool or of an evening apart from in the hits bar from 9.30pm. the drinks were definitely watered down. the lighting in the room was terrible. wifi isnt included and is very overpriced. the chill out bar wasnt open on any of the multiple occasions we walked round no matter what time it was. the staff were not friendly

Excellent in parts.

Spacious semi-detached villa. Nice terrace with sun beds and chairs. Number 3 had sea views. We felt that it was very good value for money. Food was limited and not great,however we would stay here again.

Catering was uninspired , but having said that, we did not go hungry and the red and white wine were acceptable.

Disappointing service

People were very friendly, the food was simple but good. Location is awesome also.

I went there specifically for the bath in the villas for medical reasons. But there were no plugs. The swimming pool was too cold, but that was expected. If I had known this I would have gone for a better and cheaper alternative. I also feel screwed because of a change in my flight forcing me to leave 1 day earlier. The hotel said they could not change it because it was handled by booking.com. Booking.com promised that they would sort it out. But is now saying that the hotel will not do a refund.

Very good value for money

A peaceful location - although there is a bus service - we had hired a car and that was ideal. Good selection of food and drinks. Friendly helpful staff.

A hair drier would have been useful - there was no plug in the bathroom sink

Relaxful, fun.

Staff all very friendly. Always helpful. My wife required a sin gluten diet which was willingly provided. Loved the swimming pool.

For us the evening entertainment was lacking. More based on children. Even background music would have been good. But I guess that if we would have asked it would have been put on.

The hotel is called Coral Beach.

The hotel is called Coral Beach... and there is no beach. We paid for "sea view" which meant you could see the sea indeed, but... in also see all the people sitting on their terraces in front of us. Cleaning wasn't up to standard, we have cockroaches in our bed twice. All the food comes from a supermarket called Mercadonna, not what I expected. Lots of small maintenance issues, patio, door locks, peripherals. They also had loud live music almost next to our villa but she couldn't sing (I am not joking, it was straight from X Factor) and she would stop evening after evening. (We even recorded it because I am sure nobody would believe us) The matrasses are cheap single spring and very noisy waking you up on every move.
